U-M Taps Student Input for Health & Wellness Vending Across Campuses

The University of Michigan (U‑M) has rolled out five health and wellness vending machines across its Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses. Machines now offer emergency contraception, naloxone nasal spray, COVID‑19 tests, OTC meds, and personal care items. The initiative was driven by a student-informed task force created post-Dobbs, with survey feedback and location prioritization led by students. The vending machines also make Plan B available for just $10—significantly lower than the typical $50 retail price—and include QR codes linking to helpful information.
